The Kitchen Remodel Starts.........

We or should I say Shannon and a friend started on the remodel. He let Kaydin help him out with tearing down the wall.

Kaydin is showing how strong he is!

He really didn't do much to the wall. We reminded him this is the only time he gets to do this!

This is a before picture. Day one and two were mostly spent pulling up the floor and pulling staples and nails that were every couple inches. Shannon said his hands were so sore they went numb. Poor guy!
Here is the flooring that was underneath what we had. We are going to just lay the hardwood on top of this.

Now the drywall is gone, the 2X4's just need to be taken out. This was done on day 3.

Here it is with the 2x4's gone and some new drywall hung. This was done on day 4.

I will keep posting the progress as it is made. I hate living in chaos but it will be so wonderful when it is done!
