Summer Traditions

I love traditions and I love how much my kids LOVE them.  Kaydin looks forward to the fun summer stuff that we do, such as going to Oaks Amusement Park (in Portland).  This is the third summer we have gone and that was where he found that he likes roller skating.  He is very determined and has a lot to learn still, but he loves it and I love his determination to learn new things.

We also do more camping in the summer, which is really fun. 

This year I took my nieces, Chantell and Cassie with us to Oaks Amusement Park, it was a great time and then Kaydin had someone to ride some of the rides with him.  Sometimes my motion sickness bothers me and plus I was able to get some pictures to document this fun adventure we had!

Yes, I slapped on some roller skates also and took a stab at it.  I definitely need a lot of practice to be able to skate in circles like I did years ago!

I was so proud of Kaydin that he went on this ride, what a brave boy!  He loved it and can't wait until next year when "dad" will go with him and turn it upside down over and over!!!

Our camping adventures are always fun!  I love walking the trails, listening to the birds and enjoying nature.  There are some things I don't enjoy, such as the lovely snake I saw on this trail walk!! 

I love this picture, too bad he isn't looking at me!  I guess I will take what I can get, especially because he was smiling!

We set up a pool at home and kept the water very shallow.  Kaydin is getting very brave with the water this summer which is wonderful!  Kelson loves water no matter where he is!

 Kaydin is into diving into the water.  I thought this picture was kinda cool how crisp it is!
